Top 25 US Sports Influencers

Sports is one of the most engaged corners of US Instagram, where a single highlight or trick clip can pull millions of views in a day.

This list mixes pro athletes like a World Series catcher and Olympic medalists with full-time creators who post skits, drills, trick shots, and gym breakdowns.

What ties the strongest accounts together is a real athletic identity behind the camera, which is exactly why their audiences react this hard.

Brand fit

Best brand fits for US sports influencers

Sports creators fit a tighter band of categories than general lifestyle accounts. Read these as inferred fits from bios and content, not past deals.

Sports equipment, apparel and footwear
Best fit

The core fit. Athletes and skills creators already wear and tag gear in feed, so cleats, bats, clubs, and apparel place natively.

Sports nutrition, supplements and recovery
Strong

Pro and Olympic athletes here lend credibility to protein, hydration, and recovery messaging tied to real training.

Sportsbooks, fantasy and sports betting
Strong

Several analysts and comedy creators already work with sportsbooks; a regulated, age-gated fit for the right accounts.

Coaching tools, training tech and youth sports
Good

Shooting, pitching, and hitting coaches make training aids, swing analysers, and youth-sports brands an easy match.

Snacks, drinks and game-day brands
Niche

Fan-facing comedy and highlight-style creators reach broad, game-day audiences primed for food and beverage pushes.

Many of these creators are active or former athletes posting from inside their sport, including a World Series catcher, a current Phillies infielder, Olympic medalists in gymnastics and track and field, and NCAA champions, which gives a large part of this list genuine competitive credibility rather than highlights alone.

The rest are full-time sports creators built around one repeatable hook: trick shots, shooting and pitching drills, NFL parody, or sport-by-the-data breakdowns. Several already coach, own gear companies, or partner with equipment brands, a strong signal that their audiences act on what these accounts recommend.

Our verdict

This shortlist is best used as a fast starting point for sports-brand campaigns that need real reach with a genuinely engaged fan audience. Start with the pro and Olympic athletes when credibility inside a sport matters most, the trick-shot and skills creators when you want broad, shareable reach, and the coaches when a campaign needs demonstrated technique rather than raw views.

The 25 shown are a hand-checked preview of the 21,168 US sports creators we track on Instagram. Across the national Instagram pool, 39% list a public email (Creator Economy Report 2026), so direct outreach at scale is realistic. Open the full database to filter the rest by sport, audience location, real-follower score, and verified contact.

Methodology

How we selected these influencers

How we picked this shortlist.

Eligibility: US sports creators on Instagram whose audience reads as meaningfully US-based. We kept individual athletes and creator-led sports accounts and removed team, league, network, and sports-media brand pages. The topic auto-classifier and a manual spot-check together dropped the non-creator accounts (leagues, highlight pages, and media brands like Bleacher Report and Jomboy Media) from the candidate pool before ranking.

Data source

the live Click Analytic creator database, which tracks 21,168 US sports creators on Instagram.

Ranking signals

follower reach, engagement rate, and audience quality (the share of followers that read as real).

Filters

active accounts posting within the last 30 days, with a real-audience floor and engagement floor applied before ranking.

Scope: the 25 creators shown are a hand-checked preview. Every metric on this page describes that shortlist unless it is explicitly labelled as the full tracked slice or a Creator Economy Report benchmark.

Context benchmarks come from Click Analytic's Creator Economy Report 2026, a study of 23.6M creators (data: December 2025). Updated monthly.

The figures above are a snapshot pulled on June 16, 2026, not a live feed.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything brands ask before shortlisting US sports creators.

How were these US sports influencers chosen and ranked?

We pulled US sports creators on Instagram from Click Analytic's database, kept individual athletes and creator-led accounts, removed team, league, and sports-media brand pages, then ranked the top 25 on follower reach, engagement rate, and audience quality. The 25 shown are a hand-checked preview of 21,168 tracked US sports creators.

Is this list only Instagram sports accounts?

Yes. Every creator here is ranked on their Instagram presence and US-based audience. Many also post on TikTok or YouTube, often with larger followings there, but the metrics on this page describe Instagram.

Why aren't teams, leagues, or sports media on this list?

The intent is sports creators and athletes, not organizations. We removed team and league accounts, TV networks, and sports-media brands such as Bleacher Report, CBS Sports, and Jomboy Media so the list stays focused on individual people you can actually brief for a campaign.

How do you measure whether a sports account's audience is real?

Each account gets an audience-quality score, the share of followers that read as genuine rather than bots or inactive accounts. Across the 25 shown, audiences read as about 80% real on average; nationally, only 39% of US Instagram creators clear a 75%-real-audience bar (Creator Economy Report 2026).

Which brands suit US sports influencers best?

Sports equipment, apparel, and footwear are the core fit, followed by nutrition and recovery, sportsbooks and fantasy, coaching tools and youth sports, and game-day food and drink. Pro and Olympic athletes suit credibility-led campaigns; comedy and trick-shot creators suit broad reach. These are inferred from bios and content, not past deals.

How do I find and contact the other US sports creators you track?

Open Click Analytic to search all 21,168 US sports creators on Instagram and filter by sport, audience location, real-follower score, follower size, and verified contact email. Across the national pool, 39% list a public email (Creator Economy Report 2026), so outreach at scale is realistic.

Photos and figures reflect the data snapshot date and may differ from the current profiles.
