Six questions on how this list was screened, what the index measures, and why the biggest account is near the bottom.
From 97,105 German Instagram accounts over 10,000 followers, 2,522 name fitness in their bio. Requiring a 40% German audience, engagement above 3%, a 60% real audience and a post in the last thirty days narrowed the field further. Feeds that list fitness without practising it were removed, and the strongest 25 are published here.
Because the list is ordered by the CA Influence Index, not by size. The largest account here has 288,688 followers but its Reels reach barely a tenth of that number, so it grades C at 62 and sits twenty-fourth. The index rewards reach beyond the existing following, which is what a brand is actually buying.
Four things: how much of the audience sits in Germany, how far engagement runs ahead of the German median for that creator’s own size, how far Reel views travel past the follower count, and how much of the audience reads as real. It is capped at 99, so no account is presented as perfect.
Between 51% and 85%, with a median of 72% and an average of 70%. The screen required at least 40%, and no card falls below 51%. The measured share is printed on every card.
The roster is trade-first: a fighter who owns his own club, a sports teacher and personal trainer, a certified fitness trainer, an Olympic handballer, a posing coach for bikini competition, and two Spiegel bestselling authors writing about training. Accounts that merely list fitness among four other interests were removed.
Every figure was measured in September 2026, and accounts with no post in the previous thirty days were excluded. Follower counts, engagement rates and view averages move, so read the numbers as a snapshot of that date.
