This analysis looks beyond follower count. It measures creator accounts by audience size, engagement rate, video views, audience location, activity, branded content history and follower growth, to show what the Colombia creator landscape actually looks like.
This analysis measures Instagram accounts rather than individual people. The measured population consists of accounts with at least 10,000 followers, an audience with at least 1% located in Colombia, and an inferred gender. The gender requirement excludes many brand, publisher and media accounts, where no individual creator can be identified from the available data.
Market size was calculated using 116 counting queries, each returning a total number of matching accounts. Medians were identified through the same queries by binary search and are reported as rounded benchmark values. The figures therefore describe a measured population, not an estimate drawn from a sample or a survey.

The median for a 10-50K account is 0.56%. Engagement declines as audiences grow, so benchmark a creator against comparable accounts.

Being based in Colombia does not mean the audience is. For a domestic campaign, read audience size and audience geography together.

The creator market in Colombia is concentrated in the 10K-50K follower range. These accounts are 60,457 of the 80,359 creators measured in this study.
Larger creators are much less common: 11.5% have 50K-100K, 11.0% have 100K-500K, 1.3% have 500K-1M, 0.9% have 1M+.
Engagement rate shows how actively an audience interacts with a creator's content. In Colombia, 35.4% of measured accounts exceed 1%, 14.5% exceed 3% and 8.2% exceed 5%.
For creators with 10,000 to 50,000 followers the median engagement rate is 0.56%. Providers calculate engagement differently, so benchmarks only compare when they come from one methodology. These all do.
Follower count tells you how large an audience is. Reel views show how much video distribution a creator is actually generating, which on Instagram reaches well past their own followers.
27.1% of measured accounts average at least 10,000 views per Reel, while only 3.4% reach 100,000.
Being based in Colombia does not mean a creator has a mostly local audience. Audience location shows where followers actually live, and it is one of the most important filters for a domestic campaign.
75.8% of measured accounts hold at least 40% of their audience in Colombia, while 59.7% hold at least 60%.
Activity measures whether an account is still publishing, rather than holding an audience it built earlier. 64.3% of accounts in this dataset posted within the previous 30 days.
Branded content is creator content produced with, or promoting, a brand. 29.6% of measured accounts have published it before.
That history indicates commercial experience: campaign briefs, disclosure requirements, sponsored formats and the workflow of working to one.
Growth measures how quickly an audience is expanding. 8.8% of accounts here grew their following by at least 20% over six months.
A strong shortlist is not built on follower count alone. The useful evaluation combines several signals, and they answer different questions.
Follower count is the size of the audience. The band places the account within the wider market. Engagement rate shows how actively that audience interacts. Reel views show how much video reach the creator generates. Audience location shows where the followers actually are. Activity shows whether they are still publishing. Branded content history shows commercial experience. Growth shows whether the audience is still expanding.
One creator may have a large following and modest engagement while another has fewer followers, stronger engagement and far higher average Reel views. Which is right depends on what the campaign is buying: reach, engagement, audience relevance, content performance, or some combination.

These benchmarks give context, but the useful comparison is always between creators of similar band, niche, platform and campaign objective. A threshold borrowed from another market measures the market, not the creator.
Only 3.4% of this market averages 100,000 views per Reel, and they are not the same accounts as the largest followings. Decide which one the campaign needs before shortlisting.
75.8% hold 40% or more of their audience in Colombia. On the rest, a domestic campaign pays for reach that lands somewhere else.
Search the creator database by niche, audience location, engagement rate, video views and follower growth, then compare any account against the benchmarks on this page. The result is a view of creator quality based not only on how many followers an account has, but on how its audience behaves and where it is.
